Oil on Canvas 48" x 24"
I was approached by Liz Stitzel to create this piece as a gift for her parents. They had lived on this farm for many many years and because of life's curcumstances, had decided to move from this beautiful farm in northern vermont to the bustling city of Burlington. This had been her home growing up and she was looking for a way to memoralize and imortalize this place. I've never visited it in person but now having spent some hours working through the trees and fields, I can understand and feel how important this place must have been to her and her family.
I was provided a picture but took a few creative liberties to allow my style and artistic approach to show through. I used longer and slower pulls with the palette to create the whispy nature of the clouds, juxtaposed with the shorter and more rapid action of the knife in the trees and grass that creates a slightly organic feel.
Call or Email and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
Drop me a line in the space below and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
During the day I'm around but may be in meetings, working on a new painting, or just not available. If I don't answer, I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
